Bringing business and education together....
Joplin FBLA partnered with Freeman Health system this year. A group of about 10 students have visited about every other week. So far they have met with Mr. Gary Duncan (CEO of Freeman) and Shawn McGrew (Service Excellence Coordinator). They were given a presentation on Freeman history and Standards. The next visit Mr. McGrew gave them a tour of the hospital including the new emergency room area and the new wings. They then participated in secret shopping where they walked around looking lost and see how the employees interact with the students.
