Tailgating
On Friday September 18, 2009 Joplin FBLA hosted a tailgating event in the Junge parking lot before the Joplin vs. Camdenton home football game. Friends, family, and faculty joined us for an evening of food, fun, and FBLA. The food was generously provided by Joplin Food-4-Less and served by FBLA members and sponsors. FBLA Tailgate was a hit; keep an eye out for an up-coming events and basketball tailgating.
Christmas Party
December 15th, FBLA and DECA met at the Joplin Chamber of Commerce for a Christmas party. Seventeen members and four sponsors played games, sang karaoke, and spread some holiday cheer. Some of the members brought gifts and exchanged them with one another. We had snacks and hot chocolate for the people that attended the party.
First Friday Coffee
February 5th, Mrs. McGowan's first hour Business Leadership Technology and Autumn Lewis, Joplin FBLA Chapter President, met with members of the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce. We introduced ourselves to local business leaders and told them about the projects we have been completing. We also asked if we could contact them for information to add to our business partnership report.
Calculating the Stock Market Game
Through our partnership with the Joplin Globe, we look up and calculate the prices for the thirty teams that participate in the Stock Market Game.
